Complete new concept
The local pro mat cort introduced me to the garsen grip, my friends find it strange and a bit of leg pulling but the proof is in the putting, hope to have the last laugh.
The unique and patented Garsen Golf G-Pro Edge Midsize Putter grip features a two-sided design, with a prominent ridge running down the top side of the putter grip, situating the thumbs opposite one another on the flat sides. This promotes an ergonomic, neutral position, encouraging the elbows to turn in towards your body to promote a smoother outward stroke through better shoulder rotation.
This smooth new grip has limited surface texture, making it a perfect choice for golfers who prefer an even feel. Its medium firmness and thermoplastic elastomer construction also allows for high shock absorption.
1. Unique Patented Grip Profile
Unlike conventional putter grips, the Garsen G-Pro Edge & Max do not have a flat front - the ridge on the top side of the grip is mounted in line with the putter face, creating a unique angled front profile.
2. Positions Your Hands Differently
This unique angled front profile positions your thumbs opposite one another on the flat sides.
3. Which Means...
The new hand placement promotes a relaxed, ergonomic, neutral position.

I've been reading about Garsen grips for a while now so when I saw them for such a good price here I thought it was time to give them a go. I ordered two g pro edge mid size and off I went. When I got them I didn't think they were particularly mid sized - certainly they are thinner than say a Scotty matador or WinnXpro 1.18 but they are thicker than most standard grips. The hand placement is taking a bit of getting used to and find the most comfortable position - I find the fingers of my right hand foul the thumb on my left. If I use a similar thin position on my Winn that doesn't happen. But I think the grip really does help take the wrists out of the putting action. I certainly felt more comfortable over short putts - enough to put it straight into play in a medal and hole a couple of clutch putts to hold buffer! For me though it's early days and I possibly should have gone for a thicker model. Service from adoregolfgrips.com was excellent answering all my questions ahead of buying.
The grip helps set your hands up for a more consistent putting stroke.
