Introducing the new Tour AD FI - Flight Intelligence, the next evolution in golf shaft technology from Graphite Design. Designed and manufactured at Graphite Design’s Japan factory headquarters for players who demand precision, power and consistency. the Tour AD FI features a futuristic look, complete with a sleek new TOUR AD logo, and is finished with a green to gloss black fade with silver accents.
The Tour AD FI, like the other high performance Tour AD wood shafts, utilises premium aerospace quality carbon fibre materials. Tour AD FI is available in 40g, 50g, 60g, 70g and 80g shaft weights.
The Tour AD FI shaft profile is Firm+ in the butt section, Firm+ in the centre section and has a Stiff tip to promote Mid launch angles and Low/Mid ball spin rates.
Whether shaping shots or maximising distance, the new Tour AD FI adapts to your swing, delivering unparalleled stability and responsiveness. Elevate your game with a shaft that thinks as fast as you play - because intelligent performance starts with the new Tour AD Flight Intelligence golf shaft from Graphite Design.
AD Shield technology consists of strategically positioned piles of the TORAYCA M40X material technology in the handle section of the shaft, combined with a new mandrel shape, resulting in a stable yet smooth feeling kick point. AD FI is an optimised shaft profile with a very solid structure. The AD Shield technology is used in the Tour AD GC and Tour AD FI wood shafts.
Tornado Tip Tech is a new method of shaft construction that focuses on the tip section of the shaft. Graphite Design R&D engineers have developed a proprietary method of incorporating special tip plies of carbon fibre laid up at unique angles to the shaft’s centreline. This new method yields a decrease in tip torque, resulting in even tighter dispersion rates. The Tornado Tip Tech is utilised in the Tour AD FI wood shafts.
TORAYCA® M40X pre preg is the latest in cutting edge carbon fibre materials from Toray Industries, Inc.
Prior to TORAYCA® M40X, carbon fibre pre preg materials were either high in tensile modulus or high in tensile strength, but not high in both. The new TORAYCA® M40X pre preg offers a large improvement in tensile strength with an increase of 30% over conventional carbon fibre materials.
The new and revolutionary TORAYCA® M40X pre preg now allows engineers to develop high performance Graphite Design golf shafts with an even higher degree of shaft zonal tuning without adding weight to the design, resulting in a higher degree of shaft stability and an increased feeling of total ball control over conventional golf shafts.
TORAYCA ® pre preg using T1100G carbon fibre with NANOALLOY ® technology is the latest in cutting edge carbon fibre materials from Toray Industries, Inc.
Unlike conventional pre preg materials, this revolutionary new material is comprised of both high modulus and high tensile strength fibres. The resin system of TORAYCA ®T1100G is also based on NANOALLOY® Technology for added strength and vibration dampening.
The new TORAYCA ® T1100G advanced material technology allows Graphite Design engineers to fine tune specific zones of the shaft stiffness for added stability without a gain in structure weight. TORAYCA ® T1100G is the next generation of high performance
Tour AD graphite golf shafts that provide superior accuracy and distance with every shot. This technology may be found in the MAD, Tour AD M9003, Tour AD GP, Tour AD TP, Tour AD VF and Tour AD IZ series of wood shafts.
Material Stiffness Integration - MSI, is the main design concept by which Graphite Design develops golf shafts. Composite materials consist of two main components, graphite fibre and resin. The stiffness of each fibre has an impact on how much vibration is transmitted up the shaft affecting the feel of the shaft. The resin acts more like a sponge absorbing the vibrations, creating exquisite feel.
By using proprietary design formulas and a combination of different materials that vary in stiffness and fibre volume, Graphite Design is able to produce shafts that have a better feel than other competitors. Graphite Design deliver pure distance and perfect accuracy.
