Graphite Design Tour AD VF-105 Utility Driving Iron Shaft (106g-109g) - 0.355" Taper Tip - Red / Black
Graphite DesignTour AD VF - Victory Force Utility Driving Iron Shafts
The Graphite Design Tour AD VF Utility Driving Iron shafts were designed and manufactured at the Graphite Design Japan Headquarters. The Tour AD VF Driving Iron shafts mirror the same bend profile as the Tour AD VF Wood and Tour AD VF Hybrid shafts and are designed to promote low launch angles and low ball spin rates.
The Tour AD VF Utility Driving Iron shaft utilises the TORAYCA® M40X carbon-fibre material technology in the butt section of the shaft for unrivalled shaft stability and precise ball control without the loss of the exceptional feel that Graphite Design shafts are so well known for. The shaft profile is stiff in the butt section, stiff in the centre section and very stiff in the tip section.
Features & Technology
- TORAYCA ® M40X carbon-fibre pre-preg.
- Graphite Design proprietary Material Stiffness Integration (MSI) design philosophy and technology.
TORAYCA ® M40X
TORAYCA® M40X pre preg is the latest in cutting edge carbon fibre materials from Toray Industries, Inc.
Prior to TORAYCA® M40X, carbon fibre pre preg materials were either high in tensile modulus or high in tensile strength, but not high in both. The new TORAYCA® M40X pre preg offers a large improvement in tensile strength with an increase of 30% over conventional carbon fibre materials.

The new and revolutionary TORAYCA® M40X pre preg now allows engineers to develop high performance Graphite Design golf shafts with an even higher degree of shaft zonal tuning without adding weight to the design, resulting in a higher degree of shaft stability and an increased feeling of total ball control over conventional golf shafts.
MSI Technology
Material Stiffness Integration - MSI, is the main design concept by which Graphite Design develops golf shafts. Composite materials consist of two main components, graphite fibre and resin.

The stiffness of each fibre has an impact on how much vibration is transmitted up the shaft affecting the feel of the shaft. The resin acts more like a sponge absorbing the vibrations, creating an exquisite feel.
